2027 Ford Expedition® Engines & Performance

Pulling a boat to the lake or merging onto the highway, the 2027 Ford Expedition delivers steady power. Most trims run a standard 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine rated at 400 horsepower, and the Tremor® trim steps in with a high-output version of the same engine rated at 440 horsepower. The high-output engine is also available on the Platinum® trim through the Stealth Performance Package or the Platinum Ultimate Package. Both engines pair with a ten-speed automatic transmission, and most trims offer a choice of 4x2 or 4x4. When properly equipped with 4x4 and the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, the Expedition tows up to 9,600 pounds.

2027 Ford Expedition® Seating & Cargo Capacity

Both the standard-length Expedition and the extended Expedition MAX seat up to eight passengers with the 40/20/40 second-row bench seat or seven with second-row captain's chairs. The two lengths share the same 43.9 inches of first-row legroom, 41.1 inches in the second row, and 36.5 inches in the third. There is room for coolers, luggage, and camping gear with up to 108.5 cubic feet of cargo volume in the Expedition, while the Expedition MAX opens up as much as 123.1 cubic feet.
